Autonomous robots can act on their own, independent of any controller. The basic idea is to program the robot to respond to the external stimuli. In this course, you will develop a basic autonomous robot, which uses vision guided sensors. For the robot to move along a defined path a programmed Arduino board is used. Arduino is an embedded system which acts as a brain for thousands of projects, from everyday object to complex scientific instruments. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board.
In this course, Autonomous Robot detects the path using infra-red sensors which work on the principle of reflection of light. They estimate whether the line underneath them is shifting towards their left/right as they move over them.
This project-based course is a great entry into the world of Arduino and robotics for high school students. By doing it yourself, you’ll understand the Arduino programming and basics of robotics to build a line follower and obstacle avoider robot.
Login to our Online Learning Portal will be provided instantaneously upon enrolling. This Portal gives you access to video lectures, tutorials and quizzes required to build your robot.
