Voice Controlled Robot Description – Problem Statement

As part of the challenge, the participants have to build a Voice Controlled Robot that is operated using a Mobile Phone App and controlled through Bluetooth Communication.
The Voice Controlled Robot should satisfy the following criteria:

• The robot should be completely autonomous and driven by a 8051 micro-controller based embedded system
• The robot should be controlled only through voice commands from a mobile phone
• Use an Android App that can convert voice commands into text
• The App should have an interface that displays the converted text
• The text converted from voice should be sent to the robot through wireless Bluetooth communication
• The robot should have a Bluetooth receiver to convert specific text into respective autonomous motions
• When the mobile app is given a voice command of “Square”, the robot should trace a pre-defined square on the ground
• When the mobile app is given a voice command of “Triangle”, the robot should trace a pre-defined right-angled triangle on the ground

Video Submission Criteria

• The video should have clear demonstration of the project
• The video should have the participant clearly visible in addition to the project
• The video should explain the project development in phases (ex: Flowchart)

Kit to be used

• You can use any 8051 microcontroller based development board. You can buy Skyfi Labs 8051 microcontroller based development board.
• Bluetooth Module
