Skyfi Labs Online Challenges provide an unparalleled opportunity for students to showcase their expertise in the latest technologies. Through Online Challenges, the students can extend their learning from Skyfi Labs Online Project-based Courses to solve challenging problem statements in the same field.

Skyfi Labs Online Challenge on Voice Controlled Devices

Skyfi Labs in association with Fluxus 2017, the annual college festival of IIT Indore proudly presents the Skyfi Labs Fluxus Challenge 2017 – a Skyfi Labs Online Challenge and Competition in the field of Voice Controlled Devices

Skyfi Labs - Fluxus Challenge 2017 offers an excellent platform for students to learn, design and build Voice Controlled based projects. The participants will first learn how to build a Voice Controlled Robot using the Skyfi Labs Online Project-based course. The students will then solve a challenge at the end of the course by applying their learning to build an exciting Voice Controlled Device relevant to real-life applications.

Format of the Competition

Step 1: Register for Skyfi Labs Voice Controlled Robot Online Project-based Course

Enroll for the Voice Controlled Robot Online Project-based Course by clicking here. Learn to build a Voice Controlled Robot using the kits shipped to your place and the Online Course, which has a unique Learn-Do-Review methodology to maximise your learning.

Step 2: Solve the Skyfi Labs Online Challenge and Qualify for Grand Finals

Finish the Online Course and apply your learning to solve the Online Challenge at the end of the course on the same technology. Submit a video of the final working project to earn a Certificate of Distinction and qualify for the Grand Finals to be conducted at Fluxus 2017 in IIT Indore.

Step 3: Compete in Fluxus 2017 and be crowned the Champion

Attend the Grand Finals at Fluxus 2017 in IIT Indore in February 2017. Compete with the other finalists from across India to solve another challenging problem statement and win exciting prizes.Roboversity IUCEE Challenge - Organize Workshop

About Fluxus

FLUXUS is the annual college festival of IIT Indore. Its an exceptional confluence of exquisite cultural displays with technological innovations reverberating in an aura filled with excitement, amusement and splendor. After the overwhelming success of Fluxus 2016, IIT Indore is back with Fluxus 2017 which promises to transcend all the thresholds of science and entertainment.

Problem Statement

In the course, you have learnt how to build a Voice Controlled Robot with the following 5 primary functions:

Voice Command Action of Robot
Forward Robot moves forward
Reverse Robot moves backward
Right Robot turns right
Left Robot turns left
Stop Robot stops

The participants have to modify the robot to take 2 sequential voice commands.

Command 2 - Angle of Rotation/Duration of Motion

Forward 15, 30, 45,…,90
Reverse 15, 30, 45,…,90
Right 15, 30, 45,…,90

Example Run:

Command 1 Command 2 Robot Action
RIGHT 30 Robot turns to the right 30 degrees from its current direction and stops
LEFT 45 Robot turns to the left 45 degrees from its current direction and stops
Forward 30 Robot moves forward 30 steps from its current position and stops
