Project Implementation

The flow of the project will go from a digital camera, which will catch the signals from the user. The signal will then transferred through a USB connection. The signal will be moved forward to the DATA acquisition MATLAB for further interpretations and then it is calculated using the HAND detection Algorithm. This hand detection algorithm is such that the user will be able to navigate through pictures with the help of hand gestures.

We will learn all the different library functions of the MATLAB. Through the webcam, the gestures are captured and the algorithm for the hand detection works on it. The output is them reflected immediately onto the screen. The project also falls into the category of digital image processing category. The user is a physical quantity which is difficult for the computer system to read and understand the instructions. Although there are some limitations to the project as the detection will be false if we have an inconsistent background. 

It is advised to keep a contrasting background to let the camera read the signals carefully. The MATLAB helps in this procedure by making the system more consistent is recognizing patterns and gestures. This project is very easy to build and its cost is also low. We can build it anywhere to learn more about digital image processing and MATLAB. Both of them are quite important in various fields such as image manipulation and hand gestures recognition. It is not new for the people, it has been developed quite a long time but we need to understand its working through its algorithm. 

Conclusion

This MATLAB project will also require some prior knowledge of MATLAB and its functions. We will know more about digital image processing and it will revolutionize our life. In the project, there is extensive use of MATLAB library functions which you will come to know in the making of this project. The material which is required for the project is also very less and cheap. We can connect it to our computer to see if the project works properly. 

We have to test it effectively to know about its proper results and it’s working. We will learn man concepts in this project which will be later helpful in the field of IT and automation.
