Street light monitoring using Arduino based on vehicle movement

The primary aim of Automobile Movement Street Light project is to save energy by turning on the street lights when the system senses the traffic activity by using Arduino Uno. The mechanism turns the street light ahead of the car and also turns off the trailing lights.

The motion of automobiles is sensed through sensors. The mechanism immediately switches on the lights ahead of the identified car, and the following lights are turned off as long as the vehicle passes forward.

Project Implementation:

This model is more effective for conserving much more power than the traditional method, where street lights are still left on. Unlike the conventional method, the mechanism will now only turn on street lights when observing traffic activity. Such lights are dark during daylight because this system has the potential to detect ambient light. The machine detects the ambient light, then turns the street lights on or off appropriately. To monitor the intensity, it uses PWM through an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The IR sensors detect movement of the automobile and transmit signals to the Arduino Uno microcontroller triggering instructions to turn lights ON/OFF. Following are the components required to build the gadget:

Crystal Oscillator: It is an electronic oscillator machine that produces an appropriate electrical frequency signal by performing the electro-mechanical resonance of the piezoelectric oscillating element.

Arduino Uno: This is a conveniently accessible alternative microcontroller board developed by Arduino.cc and focused primarily on the microcontroller chip ATmega328P. The board is equipped with a series of analog and digital input/output (I / O) connectors, usable for production and other circuits with various boards.

LCD Display: That is a flat panel display where liquid crystals are used in their main operating phase.

Adapter: The supply voltage was reduced from 120V to 12V, which is optimal for an antenna or other small electronic devices. The incoming rapid electrical boost will destroy the device's internal portions entirely, which is why an adapter is required to regulate voltage surge.

IoT Gecko: In an IoT-based system for the encoding of sensor values, operation of motor systems and movement control. This is a free IoT technology development tool for students, researchers, and developers. Create a path to internet-controlled physical tools, with support and services for the easy creation of IoT-based gadgets.
