Microcontroller acts as the brain of the system and GSM is the technology that is being used in our mobile phones to facilitate the connection purpose. This is a simple project through which you will be able to understand how to integrate GSM on to the 8051 based microcontroller embedded system.

Mobile communication is an emerging technology these days. GSM is the acronym for Global System for Mobile Communication. GSM module is wireless modem that transmits data using radio waves. GSM architecture is similar to the mobile architecture. GSM modems are generally used in many electronic applications and they are required to interface with the microcontrollers.
