The circuit will be embedded with DTMF decoder/encoder and you will be needs two mobile phones to makes this project. One phone will be placed in the control box itself which will be receive the signals from the user and another phone used to send the signal to the control box of the electrical devices are connected. The Circuit uses the 8051 microcontroller to process the incoming commands and actuates the Relay accordingly. The Relay trips to change its state so the power is applied to the device connected to the relay is turned ON and turned it OFF.

You need to program the 8051 microcontroller in such a way that whenever it receive the command from the user through the DTMF technology.

Project Description:

  1. AT89S52: The AT89S52 is a low power, high performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 8k bytes of in-system programmable flash memory. This is a powerful microcontroller which provides high flexibility and cost effective solution to many embedded control applications. It has the following standard features: 8K bytes of flash, 256 bytes of RAM, 32 I/O lines, watchdog timer, 2 data pointers, 3 16-bit timers/counters, on-chip oscillator and clock circuitry.
  2. Relay: A relay is an electrically operated switch. It can handles the high power required to directly control an elecric motro or other loadas is called relay or contactor.
  3. DTMF: The DTMF decoder module will recognize the DTMF tone and gives 4 bit data to the controller.
