It's a system which converts suspensions linear motion and vibration into electricity that being stored into the battery. As we know all the vehicles having the suspension system where this energy is not being utilised for any other purpose.In this project, the energy produced by the shock absorber will be converted in to electricity.

For generating electricity from this we are using electro mechanism principles.it is made up of spring, winding, and a permanent magnet. whenever the absorber getting the copper winding will be moving in the linear direction which creates the electromagnetic field in the winding, that will be saved into battery.

Project Description:

  1. COPPER COILS:Copper material is widely used for all type of motors, alternators and most of the electrical related things because of it has high electric conductivity property.High quality motors are manufactured by this copper material only.In some cases only aluminum windings used for making of any motors or alternators where the large size of motors and alternatives is produced.
  2. PERMANENT MAGNETS:It is used for generate the electromagnetic field to the windings which makes the copper winding to produce the electricity.Magnets are the material which can able to produce magnetic field internally by itself.
  3. METAL HOLLOW SHAFT:This metal shaft act as a cylindrical part of the shock absorber where magnets are to be fitted into this.The inner rod will be moving inside of the shaft which has the copper winding on it.
  4. INNER ROD:Inner rod is working as the piston for the shock absorber.This is the moving part of the shock absorber which is connected with the spring for absorbing the shocks that is developed by the vehicle.

Project Implementation:

  1. To make this project, first you need to fix the permanent magnet into the hollow shaft properly, make sure the magnet should be fixed very tightly.After that take the inner rod and fix the spring into this then make the winding in middle part of the rod.Now insert the inner rod into the cylindrical part.Connect the output part of the winding to the voltmeter.Give some pressure to the shock absorber,the voltmeter will show you the voltage that produced by the copper windings.
