Hence the idea of using solar energy and converting it to usable electric energy was developed where solar energy was converted to electric energy and was transferred to the power plants

Solar power plants are those systems where huge machines are installed to convert the available solar energy into the electrical energy and from here the energy is supplied to various systems for direct use

Purpose of the solar power plant

• In countries like India, there is a huge problem of land acquisition
• If even small PV generating stations are installed, then the city would be filled with small ponds

Constructional details

• Solar PV module:

1. The place where peak production can be obtained, many solar cells are joined here and formation of the solar panel is done.
2. The front portion is covered by glass which is tempered and clearly textured and which has low iron content for efficient sunlight absorption
3. The backside is covered by a sheet of EVA to provide protection against various conditions of the environment
