Project description:

  • Microcontrollers: It uses low power and gives high-performance.
  • Ultrasonic Transducer: The ultrasonic sensors are a combination of transmitter and receiver which works like radar or sonar. These sensors send high-frequency waves that form an echo around the object and the signals received by sensors.
  • Stepper motor: It is a type of DC motor that moves in a step by step manner.
  • Humidity sensor: Used to sense the variation in humidity.
  • DC gear motor: Used to convert electric energy to mechanical energy.
  • Wireless Communication: It the set of specifications known as satellite communication.
  • Temperature sensor: Used to sense the temperature
  • Landsat Software: This software provides the required sensing ability to detect the missile and to distinguish it from another friendly object.
  • Pressure sensor: Used to sense the pressure difference.

Working setup:

  • The system controllers used to detect missile objects.
  • An ultrasonic transducer with a transmitter and receiver is used. They produce sound waves that transmit and when it reflects it falls on the transducer itself.
  • The total time required to send the waves and receive it calculated the velocity of sound.
  • Then the distance measured and displayed on the liquid crystal with the help of the controller. The controller receives the signal and it with a relay using triggers gun.
  • The sensor fitted above the antenna with the stepper motor rotates 360 degrees.
  • If there is any missile or object nearby the system, then it launches anti-missile to the target object.
  • The tank vehicle will also be having another controller which is used to control the vehicle.
  • Landsat software used by the controller when the missile is not detecting within range. When there is a friendly object nearby, this software determines it as a friend missile.


This project of missile detection and autonomous launching system is modified to aim at a missile object in three-axis rotation by following the Ultrasonic transceiver data.

Future work:

We can also use different software and imagery for detection purposes.

More technologies can be used for developing an anti-missile technique with the same working principle.
