The last decade saw fast-paced innovative ideas breaking in. The power of the internet has bought about a lot of improvements in our daily life. The IoT or internet of things is one of the most used innovations which simplified a lot of things. From simple energy-saving solution to something as big as prison break monitoring, the applications of this new technology is limitless. This prison break monitoring system works fast and can alert the authorities making it easier to catch the culprit even before he leaves the premises.

The prion break monitoring system is operated by providing a unique code for each prisoner. This done using RF technology. RF transmitters are used for this purpose. Each prisoner is mounted with an RF transmitter which continuously transmits the unique codes. There is a central monitoring system that ensures all the codes are being received. When a prisoner breaks out and goes out of the range of central control an alert is being generated. The officials receive the details of the exact prisoner who broke out. All this happens in a blink of an eye, and the prisoner can be caught even before he crosses a 100-meter distance from the prison premises.
IoT board and developing system: In this project, we use IoT Arduino board and for development, we use IoT Gecko. The Arduino is an effective and versatile board with a lot of advantages. The developing platform Gecko is a free and user-friendly system that can be used to build the alerting system here.
RF transmitters and receiver: Each prisoner is mounted with an RF transmitter. Each transmitter is assigned a unique code which will have the exact prisoner details to whom it is mounted. The receiver and transmitter will be in constant contact. Once any of the transmitters go out of range the receiver will immediately create an alert with the prisoner details to the prison officials.
Microcontroller: A microcontroller is essential in this setup to ensure proper alert generating. The receiver is connected to the microcontroller. The microcontroller help in passing the message to the IoT
Wi-Fi module: A Wi-Fi module is connected to the IoT board here which wirelessly transfers the info to a screen that can be accessed by the officials.
